This case study will compare and contrast the use of mobile technology applications to support outpatient care in chronic disease (HIV and Diabetes II) within publicly funded projects in the US and in 3 European countries. While both projects used the same Virtual Nurse technology, how the projects are being deployed and evaluated differs.
Through this case study, we will highlight the difference in the deployement of strategies according to the targeted country. We will offer lessons learned in US, Germany, Sweden and Belgium with regards to the projects, design, deployment, and sustainability, scenarios as well as evaluation protocols.
